post moved from another thread.. robert
Kazzo
I received a letter from HMRC 9th May 2008 advising they are commencing enforcement procedure for £9,890.64. I have not claimed any tax credits for over 2 years so you can imagine my surprise. I have started the dispute with much help from the TCC. The breakdown follows like this 5th April 2004-£4,850.39 I presume 2003-2004 5th April 2005-£3,224.17 2004-2005 5th April 2006-£1,816.08 2005-2006
They stopped any payments in December 2005 due to some overpayments as a single mother of 2 this caused undue stress and depression and later was off work for 6 months due to this, I later took early severance and did not work for some time. I have now got back on my feet only to have this pushed through my door, what do they want from me, either work and pay tax or on disability due to depression and stress. I am just lost for words. HELP

Hi Kazzo and all new members - please take a moment to do this:
The Tax Credit Casualties have received an Award Nomination! Please, if you feel we've helped you on www.taxCC.org, add a comment to our New Statesman Media award - Consumer Activism - on http://www.newstatesman.com/nma/nma2008/entry/200805050002 This would help us win and get TCC better known to help others...
Help us to help you!
