hi,im new on this forum
well last september my husband went self employed,im currently not working..when we told the tax credits of the change we told them that we estimate our first earning as £14000(wishful thinking)after doing the books and renewing our claim..all we earnt was £789..does anyone know what will happen now?will our tax credits go up..will we get a one off payment as our earnings were so low?i really havent got a clue what to expect...i renewed the claim last friday and i still havent heard anything
sorry if all that doesnt make sense

I'm not the best to advice but just thought I would say welcome. I would think that you will be due some money, how irt will come I'm not sure.

You will find most people will be around over the next couple of days, so keep logging in to check, please post replys so we know that our advice is being seen by you.

i phoned the helpline today and it still hasnt been looked at!!!plus they say i will have to continue having manual monthly payments..even though ive told them that we are finding it hard to manage monthly..
