Hi everyone pleased to find the site and no we're not alone.
we recieved letters showing overpayment of nearly £8000.00 yesterday as you can imagine we don't have that type of money sitting about and if we did would'nt have needed wtc.we done our original claim on line and whilst filling it in it asked for our monthly earnings which we filled in great!so everything came through have to admit haven't got a clue what the forms are trying to explain and everything was fine rang to let them no i had changed job and the man I spoke to did'nt even ask what my earnings were and just wanted me to get of the phone asap (proberly end of shift)these letters are for 06/04/2006 to 05/04/07 and 06/04/2007 to 05/04/2008 they aren't demanding the money back yet!obviously they have stopped paying the money which is great as that was what we relied on to live on I carn't even aford the bus to get to work now so what would you advise we do.Do we start appealing now or what because when we phone we want to no what to say

Hi lynda

Get it touch with you MP urgently, and explain you situation..also get the CAB on the case, click on the HOME link above, it will show you how to dispute any overpayment.

Send all letters back to the HMRC recorded delivery, they like loosing them, same as they seem to loose peoples re-newal forms it seems..

The truth is out there.. GO get it......Non Illigitamus Carborundum

Hi Lynda,

sorry you've had to join the not very exclusive club or overpaid claimants. Robert's advised you how follow the home link to learn how to dispute - there's a step by step guide and template letters for you to use. Also please sign our petition (link on the homepage of the website).

I think HMRC should reinstate your payments once you have informed them that you are disputing, so make sure you put that in your letter.

Good luck and post again if you need help or to let us know how you're doing.
