New members, after you've posted your questions and appeals for advice here, do take a look at http://taxcc.blogspot.com - 'Diary of the Damned' - where you can, if you like, tell your story and help create a body of damning evidence for HMRC and those in government (who either pretend all well or live in some alternate universe where they can be oblivious to its failings) to see that the system is hurting the very people it apparently set out to help.
At http://taxcc.blogspot.com you can tell your story, recount the distress it's caused you, share details of outrageous actions HMRC has taken, and dip into others' stories so that you know you are far from alone.
This blog, an idea of Rachel's, is going to build into an impressive piece of evidence that the tax credit system is failing too many people, and isn't just making minor errors which can be sorted out without hardship, but is abusing and torturing many of us, taking over our lives and violating our human rights - whether to a fair trial which doesn't guarantee that HMRC always win, or not to have our property stolen from us under pretext of paying off a bill we never incurred.
