No, not Boy George or George Michael, but HRH Lizzie.

I found this reader's comment in the Mail Online;
"The Queen should stop this farce now, she should shut Parliament and Brown down and call an immediate election. She should now think of her people. We can no longer afford this fool who will bankrupt Her country and drag a lot of people down with it."

and it set me thinking: Has anyone stopped to consider what the letters HMRC stand for? Well, my understanding is that they stand for Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. That to my mind means that she's the Big White Chief, Head Honcho or as we say in Geordieland The Gaffer.

Does she know what is going on in her name?

Does she have any idea of the incompetence that is rife within this department with her name on it?

Does she know - or even care - that so many people are being terrorised by Gordon Brown's Gestapo operating under her flag?

Anyway, to cut to the chase I'm suggesting that as well as writing letters of COMPLAINT to Brown, Darling, Kennedy, our MPs and The Media, Maybe we should also be writing to Her Maj - Wor Lizzie?

It's only going to cost you a bit of time, some paper & ink and a postage stamp, but it just may be worth it.

Good thinking, Alan.

How about a letter of the week that we can ask all our members to send to her?

The Queen does reply! As a kid I wrote to her about something and got a letter by return. Not so with this apology of a government. Go for it, folks!

I've actually done this today!
Our complaint is now with the Ombudsman as of yesterday, so have suddenly got all this complainers energy & no one to direct it to.

Read your post, thought- 'What an interesting idea' and before I could talk myself out of it, went & typed up a letter & sent it 2nd class (cause I had ONE stamp left in the house and felt it was a sign). Don't expect much will come of it, but it was therapeutic to do.

I even included your quote:
"The Queen should stop this farce now, she should shut Parliament and Brown down and call an immediate election. She should now think of her people. We can no longer afford this fool who will bankrupt Her country and drag a lot of people down with it."

Thanks Alan!

Champion bonny lass!!

The next string to this bow would be to somehow make the media aware that the Queen was now involved in the Tax Credits debacle.

In 20-odd (sometimes very odd) years in the rock 'n' Roll business, I often found that it was my "off the wall ideas" that worked when more "conventional" methods failed!!

Just now, Gordon seems to be enjoying a bit of popularity as the messia of the economy. I think it's time to pee on his bonfire again.

Hi Shelley - thanks for doing your bit. Expect a reply in about three months time from someone you have never heard of.

I wrote, via my MP, to Stephen Timms last October, and received the reply last week. It was about the issue of annulled awards, when people do not send back their renewal packs thinking they don't need to, or because they don't want to ever claim again after their experiences, little realising that everything paid up till then can become a recoverable overpayment! Getting out of tax credits is therefore somewhat like escaping from Hisbollah, except with an unholy big bill and a long wait rather than a big, Holy Terry Waite.

Timms has suggested that he agrees it needs looking into.

Give him a few years.

When's the next election anyone?

Please vote to bring our 'Justice is an Amnesty' campaign to the government’s attention, and ask all your friends to do the same!

It wouldn't surprise me if this "Government" were to ban elections under their anti-terrorism laws - just as they've almost banned people from taking photographs in public places. Did you know it is now an offence to take a photograph of a policeman?

Hi Rosie bonny lass!!

Very sorry to hear about your Mum. Alzhemer's is a reall bugger - My Mum had it too and yes, the care is shyte, but that's Brown's Britain for you.

Good luck with the Adjudicator - give 'em some welly!!

I'm currently embroiled in a dispute with DWP over Jobseekers Allowance that they insisted I sign-up for - even though they knew that I am in the process of resuming self-employment and would therefore not be attending job interviews etc. and now they won't pay me anything because of this. I believe that I'm the victim of discrimination here and that I have a case against this Govenment under the Human Rights law.

My new MP is soon be dragged into this fight - whether he likes it or not!!
