Hi Eddy, one thing no one's mentioned is that you should put a brand new claim in NOW - at least that way, you could start getting payments on it while you are also sorting out the old one

Hi and thanks for your advice.
I will try and shed I little more light on what has happened.
The reason why I could claim was my daughters went into full time education straight away after leaving school on approved NVQ courses. My eldest now doing her level 3 and my youngest doing her level 2.
My eldest started doing (I be leave it’s called) a “employed” learner, where she is more hands on and do day release to collage and it’s all part of her course and she gets paid. Her payment began in July 2007.
My youngest also started doing the same; she had her firs pay packet in April 2008. So we new that once they started to be paid it was the end of our entitlement.
As I said previously that I spoke to TCO for the fist time back in October 2008 and was told, it would be pointless putting a new claim as they were both earning and i would not be able to claim. I understood this and agreed.
But what I didn’t know.
I have said that I’m a bit of a idiot when it comes to thing like filling in forms, but like everything else the more I find out the less complicated it becomes . (I think!!!)
For some reason I believed that working tax credit was paid to me through income tax on my docket. I also thought it was calculated through my p60’s, I did not know any different until I spoke to them just before Christmas 2008, to which they have started paying me again and it could only be backdated 93 days. I had no idea i was loosing out on my working tax credit for not filling the form. My last payment (must have been) April 2007.
All I can tell you that the more I look into it. Then realising how much money I have lost makes me very depressed. I had an accident at work last year that put me on the sick for quite some time so money is very tight at the moment, all i have now is statuary sick pay. My wages have plummeted for over 18 months so my working tax credits that I lost would sure to have been substantial (to me at least). Together with the loss of child credit from last year.
So after the loss of my family, then my accident which has been very painful, then the loss of my wages, followed by the loss of child tax credit and working tax credit, I just don’t know where to turn,
I had a great life up until 2 years ago, but it’s all been downhill since. But the bright side is, (just like the song) Things Can Only Get Better
Sorry about boring you but it nice to get some things off your mind.
Thanks again everyone for your help. eddie
