During the end of last year up to recently, Ive been helped by my local MP with several Overpayments where he very kindly acted as a go-between.
I am very relieved to find that the chief executive has "Confirmed that my Tax credit claim is now balanced, with no outstanding overpayments."
I am also greatful for the advice members of the TCC forum have given me which has helped me to get this far.
There is certain to be a dreadful Renewal pack coming my way very soon.I assume there wont be much to put in it since I have received no payment since Nov 2008. This was due to the dispute.Anyway, the money I would have been entitled is what they obviousely saved which would have payed the O/Ps, not all of them but some. Anyway, I dont want any back payment, even if they did send me. Id just stuff it back at them.
What I do want is to run away as far as I can from this hell hole.

Hi Len

Thanks for letting us know of your success and for your kind words about us.

Could you please tell us the name of your MP, and which party (s)he belongs to?

Regarding your comment "What I do want is to run away as far as I can from this hell hole." I'm with you there and if I were 20 years younger it's exactly what I would be doing!!

Hi Alan. He is James Arbuthnot, Conservative and him and his secretary went through my forms and managed to single out someone who would be able to make some sense of them.
That person is known as the Chief executive. Her name is Lesley Strathie.

Thanks for that Len. I think it's good to know who the "useful" MPs are - just as it is to know which of them are busy fiddling their expenses instead of looking after their constituents who are - after all - their employers!!

Hi Len

That is GREAT news.

If they say your account is now balanced then I think that means you have paid back the amount due to be recovered for that tax year affected. You can still have an overpayment for the following tax year, please get it confirmed this has not happened.

Thanks Splashing. I will check that. Since my Tax credits were "suspended" on 26th Sep 2008 (due to dispute)I have not expected any Overpayment to "generate" as a result.
Howether, thanks to your post, I have discovered that I did receive 4 Payments after the "suspension" (3 months at 311 and finally 1 month at 100). Oh dear! Well, its their fault, of course.

Len, your prayers are answered, and now you CAN escape from the dreadful Tax Credit "system" if you can afford to live without it!

Thanks Ali M-W. I would rather live on Earthworms than be part of Brown's Britain.
