Have been reading through various forum posts on the site, and despite the mess our family is in courtesy of the HMRC tax credits system, I still find it shocking how they can make so many mistakes and put families all over Britain through so much upset and turmoil. They are so unaccountable for their errors its tantamount to theft/abuse. My partner and I have split up, and HMRC did a damn fine job of piling on the stress for us, at a time we should have been enjoying the birth of one of our sons. I find them sickening. Ive read the successes and I know we did nothing wrong, we have the proof they just keep bouncing it back to us, its with the ombudsman now and has been for 12 months. i am dreading if they cant decipher a really messy case and throw it back to us. Talk about feeling let down by a system!! I also really hope that one day I can post on the successes area too. Please dont give up people, these bastards are completely wrong and seem to thrive on making us feel like criminals. Thanks to all at TCC you are inspirational at keeping people like me going and fighting this bent system. Just had to get this off my chest...thanks Ami xx

Hi Ami.
Sorry to hear about your hassle and thank you for your words of encouragement.
I'd like to ask you a favour; PLEASE write to your MP (if you haven't already done so) and tell him exactly what you've just told us all here, and tell your MP about this site.
Help us to help you - and all the others.
Many thanks Alan.

Hi Alan, i have done. Ive also asked him to help us on numerous occasions and have to say he isnt what you'd call proactive (Parmjit Dahnda). He is aware of your site as I have referrenced your letters. I am thinking of writing to the adjudicator/ombudsman (need to check my progress as keep saying ombudsman but think it may actually be the adjudicator)to see where we are at, it's been with them for over a year. Once this is done i am going to give Parmjit an update letter - purely for his information you understand and point out all the help you have given!! ha ha im sure it's only his secretary that has a good read anyway! i would love to see the day your site is in the HMRC's cop 26 (or equivalent) booklets as help...guess your too unsafe for them as people keep beating them! An edited extract from "How Parmjit Dhanda voted on key issues since 2001:"
Voted moderately against a transparent Parliament. Voted very strongly for introducing ID cards. Voted very strongly for Labour's anti-terrorism laws. Voted very strongly against an investigation into the Iraq war.
Looks like just the sort of bloke who I would take a great delight in NOT voting for!!
HOWAY MAN DHANDA - GET YER SNOUT OOT THE TROUGH & START WORKING TO HELP THIS LASS. DO SOMETHING USEFUL FOR ONCE IN YER LIFE!!
