Hiya,
Ok, about two years ago I was told that I had been overpaid of £1717.90 but no explanation so I rang them up couple of times for a explanation but nothing, so went over to CAB for help, they wrote to them for a explanation, and finally it arrived after about 3 months later but it was too complicated to understand , so I paid them £200 per month by direct debit for 10 months total £2,000 so I cancelled the direct debit.
And then received a letter last week from HM Revenue & Custom saying I got tax credit overpayment of £1717.90!!! I was so stressed out but no explanation again of how the overpayment occurred.
I did save some the letters plus the tax credit papers and found a letter also from HM Revenue & Customs very similar to the one I received last week. So he is coming over to see me this Monday, I would be grateful for any advices please thanks Sally

Hi Sally What year did the first overpayment occur in, and what year does this one say ? Sounds to me like they have not credited your account with the money you paid back.

Who is coming over? Do you have bank statements showing the direct debits leaving your account? Did the overpayment occur over 1 year only or over more?
