The purpose of this site was – and is – firstly to offer help & support to people who are being wrongfully pursued by HMRC for overpayments of Tax Credits.

That is to say overpayments that have arisen through no fault of the claimant.

Secondly, our aim is to get the Tax Credits system changed so that if is fairer, simpler and more easily understood by everyone – HMRC staff, Claimants and our Mps!!

I think that tackling the Government head-on over the Tax Credit issues is almost a non-starter as they are all in denial that there's anything wrong with Gordon Brown's “Flagship” - even though it's obvious even to a blind man on a galloping horse that it's a leaking rustbucket way overdue for a one-way trip to the breakers yard!

With this in mind, I created this section of the forum into which media stories about the Government's latest cock-ups & outrages can be posted. The idea being that our members can read read all about them, and hopefully become sufficiently concerned and / or angry to put pen to paper & write letters of complaint to their MPs and to our Fuhrer Brown himself.

I believe that if sufficient of us do this on a regular basis, then the message that there are a lot of unhappy folk in Brown's Britain just may get through & things just may start to change for the better.

It's a long shot I know, but it is a shot that I think is worth taking because if we don't the only thing we can be sure of is that things will never improve.

So, there you have it – get writing!!

"The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible
reductions. In this way the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed."
