I recommend that you all have a look at Page 26 of the current issue of Private Eye.Edition No. 1229. 6th February to 19th February 2009. I would like to reproduce it here but I would breach copyright laws.

Do try and get hold of a copy maybe at your local reference library. The gist of the articles is the cut off limits for the clawback of unpaid tax, primarily for self employed or businesses.

Knowing what we know through our experiences, it just goes to show how badly we are treated as vunerable sitting targets, who don't have cute accountants to rig the figures in our favour. Please do try to read it. You may want to quote it in your defence.

Or maybe TCC will get Private Eye's consent to reproduce the article.
