Posted - 10/10/2008 : 07:33:02 Seems the Ivory Tower Dwellers still haven't fully appreciated how life is for those at the sharp end of tax credits.
So... for us, for them, for media inspiration - we now have out 'Diary of the Damned' blog to which EVERYONE can contribute!
It's here: http://taxcc.blogspot.com
Send in your stories, tales of woe, heroic deeds, and accounts of all HMRC's atrocities, and they will be published as part of the blog! If we have several a day, well that's fine too.
With thanks to Rachel for the idea and opening piece, we have in our hands a tool for telling disbelievers just what is going down, and for creating a running account of the day-to-day problems we are experiencing with this 'system'.
Maybe Brown and the government will pay heed?

Posted - 18/12/2008 : 06:51:01 Good to see people sending in pieces for our blogspot, as we want to keep it alive and look after it - who knows, someday soon our MPs and elected leaders could be looking in and wanting food for thought about just how bad the tax credit 'system' is!
Nick Clegg, Lib Dem Leader, has certainly taken on board the level of discontent with the tax credit system and is actively now doing something about it, making a fixed system of awards (where things can alter even quite significantly within that period and not rain down a massive overpayment on that person's head) and an independent review of all disputes by right a part of Lib Dem policy.
Makes you more inclined to vote for them, doesn't it?
Wonder if or when the other parties will cotton on?
Anyway, do keep blogging - it's good to see others' contributions and know we aren't suffering alone, and that we are in this together, in pursuit of justice.
It's here if you want it - keep the contributions coming, please!
